keep your fingers crossed

in the next few weeks they'll be starting the process of randomly selecting people for the Red Sox game. Hopefully someone I recruited gets picked so we have a chance. If not, Texas is coming the 24-26, but those are one weekdays, then the Cardinals 6-8. As long as its after my birthday, just so I can flash my ID and get a drink :p

Speaking of drinks...
I submitted my resume through the job bank for a internship at Anheuser-Busch. No, no need to do a double take, breweries need engineers too. If my resume gets picked then they're coming on campus to conduct interviews at the end of February. But I'm going to go in this week or next to talk to the career advisor to go over my resume and cover letter.

Next week some 'stros are coming to San Antonio, but of course I get jipped out of seeing Bagwell AGAIN (if you don't remember, back when he was doing his rehab stint for the hooks, I was carless.... the one week out of 52 that my car isn't functional). Even if it were for a split second for a autograph, coach or player, it's still Bagwell and it would make my year. Carlos Lee, Oscar Villarrel, and the manager Cooper are the 'stros that are gonna be there, along with a broadcaster. Everywhere else got Backe, Bagwell, Sampson, Oswalt, and College STation got Berkman as it does every year it seems.

It seems like it's never in the cards for me to meet my hero :( .

to be continued...

i am moving my blog elsewhere. somewhere where i have more control, so I'm pretty much building my own site to blog and share pictures. I'm still working on it though. i could make it simple and do a pre-made layout, but that would be very unlike me now wouldn't it. As of now i will be typing my blogs into the one on my computer and uploading them all at a later time. I will share the link as soon as i get it. the site is functional, but not very pretty, so I'm going to beautify it before I can let others see.

pretty much nothing but school has been going on with me. i saw 'cloverfield' and i found it hilarious, while everyone else seemed scared. i went to work orientation, and lets just say guests wont have a hard time spotting us. but I'm starting to realize that the likelihood of a social life this semester will be slim.

End of one year, beginning of another

So I spent the end of this year at home, and I think I was there too long, but I did enjoy the relaxation. A much different atmosphere than in San Antonio.

Christmas was good. I got a bunch of neat books that will probably take me forever to read, all music related of course. There will be more on those as I get the opportunity to read them.

One thing I love about Christmas, is wrapping gifts. I get bored with wrapping gifts, so I try to make it as hard as physically possible to open at least one gift. I had some victims, I got some revenge, and I even drew some blood (sorry!). It was amusing, but I think next year I'm going to do something different. I'm not going to reveal this, so you'll just have to wait! But if anyone wasn't as thrilled with the challenge I presented with the opening of the presents, I want to let you know that Stephanie wrapped my gift in duct tape, and I had my own challenge. She even made the comment of how easy my present was to open (but she also said it was pretty...), I take that as a challenge for next year (Robin said the same thing last year, and look what happened to her!).

What I bought as a gag gift for white elephant ended up as a vicious battle for a talking, farting santa. Well, not totally vicious, but vicious for our white elephant. I still think next year there should be a nerf war or something in the 3rd round.

All the pictures from Christmas are on my photobucket account.
