The Challenge...
I know moving is going to have it's challenges, but for some reason universities like to throw their own challenges... I think they're testing will power, how BAD do you want to live in tiny overpriced apartments???
Challenge 1: Dealing with university housing
Moved into my new apartment this morning...but what on campus housing experience is complete without complications? Room assignments weren't sent out until yesterday. This morning, as I was waiting to get my key and check in, I receive a call from the housing office (the building I was waiting in, 30 minutes... no more than 10 people were moving in..) saying my check in time isn't until 2, needless to say I was a little pissed since I wasn't notified of this until the day of move in. Apparently they had none of the apartments cleaned, and were just leaving everyone to wait in the office without telling them whats going on. I planned on starting moving by at least 10, didn't get to until past 11am. I ended up doing nothing but moving until 6.
Challenge 2: Tiny room, a LOT of stuff:
I had to figure out how to fit my massive amount of "crap" into my tiny bedroom. I'm still in the process of figuring out this one.

Challenge 3: pretty much undoing everything I just did.
my next challenge was to somehow figure out how to move as much of my stuff as possible off the carpet, because on top of everything else they didn't have the carpets cleaned yet... and I thought I was bad at procrastination. I had everything organized into boxes that I needed to somehow make room for, all on the floor, so I had to throw everything into one box and put it in my bathroom so there weren't boxes everywhere. Also, I don't know when my roommate is moving in, and I wouldn't want her to walk into the chaos that was the living room earlier.

My dvd collection, just sitting on the floor, a dvd stand would be nice (*hint hint*). That's probably the only place they will all fit together, I also have VHS tapes... somewhere
So tomorrow while they clean the carpets I'm going to venture to the store and see if i can find some stuff to fix the box of crap i don't have room for sitting in my bathroom, and the stack of stuff in my closet that in any normal situation, should fit in desk drawers.
I have no clue what I'm going to do about the internet situation. I'm a internet junkie and from what I hear the internet here is horrible, I STILL haven't been able to connect, as of now I'm on a unsecured wireless network.
Today, with the little internet I could get, The Used was streaming their new album (comes out May 22nd, Lies for the Liars) and I love it (haven't found a song from them yet that I don't like)... My birthday is a few weeks after this release... That's as subtle as its going to get...

Graduation
Finally.. Robin graduated!!! Graduation was Saturday morning at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.
Found her!
Also found Daddy and Sheila! I started playing Where's Waldo of Graduation after about the first 30 minutes. I found everyone!
I'm pretty sure there is plenty of pictures of the Grad, so I didn't bother, I took pictures of other people taking pictures....
The rest are on my photobucket account (the link is under my fave links to the left) password is my last name
In good news, I got my grades today, 2 A's and a B! It was a pleasant surprise since I was expecting a A and 2 C's! But I got a A in my Digital Systems class (the guaranteed A of the semester) and the other A in my Engineering Analysis class, if you recall, at the beginning of the semester I was just hoping to pass (75% fail rate with the previous professor, 45 on the first test, wasn't looking too hopeful).. I'm going to go pick up my final tomorrow to see how I did, because I had to have made a A in order to make a B in the class, and all the homework I did probably bumped it up to a A.

almost over
A few more hours and this semester is over... 7:30am final tomorrow, which means a 6am wake up at the latest. Then off to Corpus for the graduation!!
I move the 18th (finally, i cant wait to get out of this apartment), I dont know what my new address is, as soon as i find out i'll let everyone know. I don't even know where I live yet, and still dont have a confirmed move in date, the one thing I've realized about UTSA, they dont like to notify people until the last minute.
Memorial day weekend I'll be coming home so we can start celebrating my birthday!!! Classes start the 4th, so I'll make my way back the 3rd.
and thats my summer vacation....

it figures...
the day i have a 4 hour review session would be the day the astros have a afternoon game and shut out the cardinals 13-0.... and previously every astros game in which they have won with the total amount of runs exceeding 4, i haven't been able to watch... i have seen probably 3 games in which they have won thus far in the season (out of about 29).. maybe if i'd stop watching, they'd win more, because so far it seems to have turned out that way..
they are 13-16 this season, at the top of the NL Central is the Brewers and rounding it off is the Reds then the Cardinals. This season is going to be VERY interesting since almost 30 games in, the top 3 teams are at the bottom and the worst teams are at the top... there's still a LOT more baseball left

Not much going on now until finals are done with (my last final is Friday the 11th at 7:30 AM.. yea.. crazy..)! Thursday and Friday were "dead days", so I used one of them to get some stuff done. In the process of running my errands I found a Yellow Submarine poster, I went on and helped mom out with some of the birthday shopping and got it. Now all I need is a frame, its 27 x 40.
