The Challenge...

I know moving is going to have it's challenges, but for some reason universities like to throw their own challenges... I think they're testing will power, how BAD do you want to live in tiny overpriced apartments???

Challenge 1: Dealing with university housing
Moved into my new apartment this morning...but what on campus housing experience is complete without complications? Room assignments weren't sent out until yesterday. This morning, as I was waiting to get my key and check in, I receive a call from the housing office (the building I was waiting in, 30 minutes... no more than 10 people were moving in..) saying my check in time isn't until 2, needless to say I was a little pissed since I wasn't notified of this until the day of move in. Apparently they had none of the apartments cleaned, and were just leaving everyone to wait in the office without telling them whats going on. I planned on starting moving by at least 10, didn't get to until past 11am. I ended up doing nothing but moving until 6.

Challenge 2: Tiny room, a LOT of stuff:
I had to figure out how to fit my massive amount of "crap" into my tiny bedroom. I'm still in the process of figuring out this one.

Challenge 3: pretty much undoing everything I just did.
my next challenge was to somehow figure out how to move as much of my stuff as possible off the carpet, because on top of everything else they didn't have the carpets cleaned yet... and I thought
I was bad at procrastination. I had everything organized into boxes that I needed to somehow make room for, all on the floor, so I had to throw everything into one box and put it in my bathroom so there weren't boxes everywhere. Also, I don't know when my roommate is moving in, and I wouldn't want her to walk into the chaos that was the living room earlier.

My dvd collection, just sitting on the floor, a dvd stand would be nice (*hint hint*). That's probably the only place they will all fit together, I also have VHS tapes... somewhere

So tomorrow while they clean the carpets I'm going to venture to the store and see if i can find some stuff to fix the box of crap i don't have room for sitting in my bathroom, and the stack of stuff in my closet that in any normal situation, should fit in desk drawers.

I have no clue what I'm going to do about the internet situation. I'm a internet junkie and from what I hear the internet here is horrible, I STILL haven't been able to connect, as of now I'm on a unsecured wireless network.

Today, with the little internet I could get, The Used was streaming their new album (comes out May 22nd, Lies for the Liars) and I love it (haven't found a song from them yet that I don't like)... My birthday is a few weeks after this release... That's as subtle as its going to get...
